Title: The Fabulous Memory of a Midnight Waltz

A handsome stranger with eyes the color of Highland mist approached her. “That is a Fabulous bag,” he said softly, his voice carrying the lilt of the Western Isles. “I have never seen such craftsmanship.”

She smiled, surprised by his perception. “It belonged to my grandmother. She carried it the night she saved our clan from ruin.”

They danced until midnight, lost in conversation and connection. He was a scholar from Skye, and for the first time in years, Iona felt truly understood.

But duty called. A messenger arrived with urgent news from her lands. She had to leave immediately. She turned to find him, but he had vanished into the crowd.

She stood alone on the terrace, the distant waltz mocking her broken heart. She clutched her rose gold clutch, pressing it to her chest. It was a Fabulous purse that held her grandmother’s courage. Now, it would also hold the memory of mist-grey eyes and a midnight waltz—a love story that ended before it could truly begin, but would live forever in her heart.
